It enables ASP.NET Web developers to replace the Textarea in your existing content management system with a powerful, but easy to use WYSIWYG HTML editing component.

It empowers business users to make content updates easily and safely themselves while maintaining control over site design and content, all at an affordable price.

Top features of WYSIWYG HTML Editor

What makes Cute Editor the leading online HTML Editor on the market? Aside from its powerful features and ease to use, here are some of the top reasons that make the Cute Editor your best choice for creating and publishing web content:

  1. A cross-browser, cross-platform WYSIWYG online HTML editor.
Compatible with the most important browsers available in the market: IE 5.5+, Firefox 1.0+, Mozilla 1.3+, Opera 9.0+, Netscape 7+ and Safari (1.3+). This includes Macintosh and Linux.
  2. Compliant with the web standards, no deprecated tags such as <FONT> anymore
Does your online html editor still use deprecated tags such as <FONT>? Cute Editor will help you build sites that adhere to the latest HTML standards, generates clean HTML/XHTML code with no deprecated tags.
  3. Insert clean HTML from Microsoft Word.
When text is pasted from Microsoft Word a lot of unnecessary word specific markup is carried across. This can result in web pages that take an unnecessarily long time to download. The Paste from Word button solves this by removing word markup before pasting the text into your page.
  4. Support accessibility according to W3C WAI and section 508 accessibility guidelines.
Cute Editor optional accessibility settings ensure your site complies with Section 508, so people with disabilities can have full access to your content.
  5. Clean, lightweight and extremely fast loading
Numerous optimization methods has been applied. It's clean, compact, extremely fast-loading, but still powerful and efficient.
  6. Advanced file upload function
We integrate a hi-performance ASP.NET upload component - Ajax uploader into Cute Editor. Ajax Uploader allows you to select and upload multiple files at once. It also supports client side validation of the file size/type before uploading.
  7. Store images in a Database
With Cute Editor you can easily use a Sql Server database or access database as the file storage.
  8. Image insertion and automatic upload
Built-in thumbnail generator. Thumbnail images are dynamically created; Supports upload new images. Paging - specify how many images. Support auto resize images.
  9. Style Builder Dialog Box
With Style builder dialog box you can apply CSS style attributes directly to any HTML elements on your Web page.
  10. Online Image Editor
People that input content on a website are generally not web designers, so most don't have that design & technical fibre in them. With online image editor, you can now edit image file with no image editing software to download or install! Easy drag and drop familiar interface. Resize, change dimensions, scale, crop, add text, optimize, rotate, flip, mirror and add watermark.
  11. Compatibility with the browser's back button
Don't you hate losing your edits? It is so easy to accidentally browse away from the page you are editing (eg by hitting a back space key or button). And then you have lost all your edits. Unless you are using Cute Editor!
  12. RTF to HTML, HTML to RTF
With Cute Editor you can easily convert an HTML document into an RTF file and RTF file into HTML or XHTML document.
  13. Create PDF files
Cute Editor also allows you dynamically create Adobe PDF documents from ASP.NET.
  14. Apply security to control user access to resources
  15. Cute Editor allows developers to assign a pre-defined set of permissions by group or individual. This prevents a normal user to access the administration functionality.
  16. The details of permissions are specified by an XML security policy file. Each level maps to a specific file. The default mappings:
    admin--maps to admin.config
    default--maps to default.config
    guest--maps to guest.config
You can customize and extend each policy file by editing the XML security policy file. You can also create your own policy files that define arbitrary permission sets.

RegAlyzer 1.6.0.12

| | Comments (0)

RegAlyzer 1.6.0.12.jpgRegAlyzer is a tool to browse and change the registry. It was created because of a few features we missed in the original regedit tool, from support for exotic value types over background and regular expression search to better bookmarks, displaying .reg files in the accustomed style and a history view.

A short list of the pros of RegAlyzer:

  • New: Undo and Redo logs in .reg format
  • Improved search function (results list)
  • Hierarchical bookmark support
  • Jump to key by command line parameter
  • Jump to key by typing/copying it into dialog (instead of browsing)
  • DWord editing with parallel hex/decimal/binary display
  • Support of QWord (64 bit integer)
  • Display of .reg file contents without importing it
  • Support of version 5 files (Unicode) even with Windows 95/NT
  • Low-level display of security settings with option to export it

But there are a few not-yet completed features as well:

  • Complete Unicode support
  • Display and import support for some system stuff (REG_LINK,REG_RESOURCE_DESCRIPTOR, etc.)
  • Changing security settings
  • Remote connection doesn't ask login yet
  • Changing opened .reg file
  • Editing binary data
  • Working (add/delete/etc.) in remote registry

.NET Framework 3.5 SP1

| | Comments (0)

The Microsoft .NET Framework 3 is the new managed code programming model for Windows®. It combines the power of the .NET Framework version 2.0 with new technologies for building applications that have visually compelling user experiences, seamless communication across technology boundaries, and the ability to support a wide range of business processes. These new technologies are Windows Presentation Foundation, Windows Communication Foundation, Windows Workflow Foundation, and Windows CardSpace.

The .NET Framework 3 is included as part of the Windows Vista operating system; you can install it or uninstall it using Windows Features Control Panel. This redistributable package is for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.

The latest version (3.5) contains many new features building incrementally upon .NET Framework 2.0 and 3.0, and includes .NET Framework 2.0 service pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.0 service pack 1.

.NET Framework version 3.5 Service Pack 1 provides the following new features and improvements:

  • ASP.NET Dynamic Data, which provides a rich scaffolding framework that enables rapid data driven development without writing code, and a new addition to ASP.NET AJAX that provides support for managing browser history (back button support). For more information, see Whats New in ASP.NET and Web Development.
  • Core improvements to the CLR (common language runtime) that include better layout of .NET Framework native images, opting out of strong-name verification for fully trusted assemblies, improved application startup performance, better generated code that improves end-to-end application execution time, and opting managed code to run in ASLR (Address Space Layout Randomization) mode if supported by the operating system. Additionally, managed applications that are opened from network shares have the same behavior as native applications by running with full trust.
  • Performance improvements to WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation), including a faster startup time and improved performance for Bitmap effects. Additional functionality for WPF includes better support for line of business applications, native splash screen support, DirectX pixel shader support, and the new WebBrowser control.
  • ClickOnce application publishers can decide to opt out of signing and hashing as appropriate for their scenarios, developers can programmatically install ClickOnce applications that display a customized branding, and ClickOnce error dialog boxes support links to application-specific support sites on the Web.
  • The Entity Framework is an evolution of the existing suite of ADO.NET data access technologies. The Entity Framework enables developers to program against relational databases in according to application-specific domain models instead of the underlying database models. For more information, see Getting Started with the Entity Framework. The Entity Framework introduces some additional features, including support for new SQL Server 2008 types, default graph serialization of Entities, and the Entity Data Source. This release of the Entity Framework supports the new date and file stream capabilities in SQL Server 2008. The graph serialization work helps developers who want to build Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) services that model full graphs as data contracts. The Entity Data Source provides a traditional data source experience for ASP.NET Web application builders who want to work with the Entity Framework.
  • LINQ to SQL includes new support for the new date and file stream capabilities in SQL Server 2008.
  • The ADO.NET Data Services Framework consists of a combination of patterns and libraries, which enable data to be exposed as a flexible REST (Representational State Transfer)-based data service that can be consumed by Web clients in a corporate network or across the Internet. The ADO.NET Data Services Framework makes data service creation over any data source. A conceptual view model of the underlying storage schema can easily be exposed through rich integration with the ADO.NET Entity Framework. Services created by using the ADO.NET Data Services Framework, and also compatible Windows Live (dev.live.com) services, can be easily accessed from any platform. For client applications that are running on Microsoft platforms, a set of client libraries are provided to make interaction with data services simple. For example, .NET Framework-based clients can use LINQ to query data services and a simple .NET Framework object layer to update data in the service.
  • Windows Communication Foundation now makes the DataContract Serializer easier to use by providing improved interoperability support, enhancing the debugging experience in partial trust scenarios, and extending syndication protocol support for wider usage in Web 2.0 applications.
  • The .NET Framework Data Provider for SQL Server (SqlClient) adds new support for file stream and sparse column capabilities in SQL Server 2008.
