BMS 4.05 Music & Announcement Player

BMS is a software package that plays background music or announcements. Install BMS on a central computer connected to the PA system to create a powerful hard disk audio player that fully automates the scheduling and mixing of your music or announcements.

This software integrates the complete set of audio automation and signal processing features into one application and can drive up to 16 separate zones in the largest business centers. By using off-the-shelf computer technology, this professional background music and announcement solution is affordable for large and small businesses such as hotels, casinos, shopping malls, supermarkets and other retail environments where in-store music and advertising is needed.

BMS is designed specifically for business background music and announcements. Importantly BMS is easy to use. If you already have a Windows computer in your business, BMS can be installed and running within minutes offering your own 24/7 music and announcement service. BMS is free to download and trial and only takes a couple of minutes to download and install

Music and Announcement Scheduling

• Automatic music selection and mixing according to set rotation rates and day-part scheduling.
• Auto-playing optional recorded announcements at set times or at specified intervals in addition to manual user-play announcements.
• All users on the computer network can play and even make announcements at their desks using IAPremote.
• Date, time and week day music track and announcement validity checking.
• Automatic day time volume changes (when, for example, your business might be noisier).

Audio Output

• Mixes music tracks seamlessly with automatic cue-in and cue-out time scanning.
  Adjustable music / announcement volume balance (so announcements can be louder than music).
• Optional microphone connection with automatic music fade when microphone page is activated.
• Multiple-zone (up to 16) output option for large businesses with many speaker "zones" so selected announcements play only in specified areas and the music volume can be different in each zone.
• Optional hardware connection to play announcements and microphone page including motion detector play modes.
• Text-to-Speech Voice Synthesis of announcements if required.
• Digital signal processor included within the software includes a dynamic range compressor and an active EQ for great sound quality. (These features alone can save you thousands of dollars in audio system equipment).
• Flash Screen Images can be set to display at the same time as announcements. Alternatively BMS can also run plugins which can, for example, be used to play video commercials between music tracks.

• Automatically load ("rip") tracks from CD.
• Complete logs of all music tracks and all announcements played.

BMS is fully multitasking and is therefore capable of running in the background on a computer running other applications at the same time. For example, if BMS is used to play only occasional announcements, it can run in the background on anyone's computer while they continue to use it for day to day tasks (eg. wordprocessing). However, for more critical professional 24/7 music, we recommend more care be taken with the computer choice and that all software that runs on the same computer with BMS be well tested stable 'server type' software which will not interfere with BMS (if in doubt simply test it).
